The user manual states that "Changing product categories will change the default category for those products to the first in the list, if the previous default category is removed" (Quick Tips section), so to change the default category: Unfortunately, the latest revision does not respect this, and may actually be the reverse, that is it is actually the last category in the list. So the best advice is: 1. Set the product's category to only 2 categories and update 2. Observe which one gets to be the default (first / second) - this is to have the info about how quickupdate treats the categories in your revision 3. Add the additional categories. Repeat steps 1 & 3 for each product for which you want the default category changed, knowing that the first / second category will be the default. As a side note, there is no specialized mode of specifically changing the default category in QuickUpdate v4.0, the above is just a workaround which may help. |
